What we can do for environment?
Whenever we go we notice litter, scraps of paper , cans, bottles and plastic containers. All these things are signs of human activity. It is estimated that an ordinary person produces about 300 kilos of litter a year. Well, if we don’t want to change our environment into a garbage we should change our way of thinking and stop being so wasteful. I think we don’t have to take part in ecological campaigns or protests. All we have to do to protect our environment is buying only ecologically safe products made from recycled material. Moreover, we can return cans and bottles or put them into special containers. In my opinion, even the slightest effort to reduce litter is meaningful. The condition of our environment depends mainly on us.

Disadvantages and advantages of life on retirement.
Retirement is inseparably connected with period of old age. Everyone knows that this period has its own pros and cons.
In defiance of opinions of some older people you have very a lot of free time. Thanks to retirement you can begin touring country and whole world at last. This was a life dream, which you couldn't realize so far, of course if you have sufficiently high pension. You can look after grandchildren and sacrifice time to them, which you couldn't give to your own children. You can at last sacrifice to interests, deserted in past because of lack of time. Whenever you want you can arrange a tea meeting with friend whether colleague from school's years, to remember teachers, friends whether funny events which happened on lessons.
Unfortunately retirement is not only all roses. It is happen that you are often lonely for the sake of lack of close family. Then you feel unnecessary, unremembered by everybody, disturbing (to)another man. Looking at pictures from the past we often become embittered. We noticed that body is not so efficient like once, and the memory fail. Numerous diseases of old age just worsen this situation. You often fall behind with progress of technique and changes of world, because of that you can feel backward and old-fashioned.

Feminism
In my opinion Feminism brought many positive results. Women have been given the same rights as men. Now we can enjoy equal opportunities in education, professional work , politics and in a family life. Nowadays we can see that women are as good as men in almost every job or sometimes we are even better. There are many examples of such women: Danuta Hubner or Margret Thatcher. Nowadays women have choice as to live alone or get married or to bring up children or work profesionally. I think we have a good position in today’s wolrd and we should use it in a sensible way.

It is wrong to kill animals for their fur.
First of all I think that it is cruel to kill animals. Those one which have beautiful fur are kept in closed territory in bad conditions or if they are free they have to take care of oneself and always live in fear of killing by people.
Maybe animal fur is warm and attractive but I think that man-made materials are equal pretty like furs. People can do artificial leather - materials almost the same looking like natural. It is very cheaper and animals don’t have to suffer. Man-made materials can be less durable but I think that it’s better than harming animals. It shouldn’t have place in the civilized world in the twenty-first century. We can replace natural fur with other kind of materials. We should think about animals which are suffering for us. If people will still kill animal it’s possible that they will be dying out. Some animals that are hunted for fur are endangered species.
I met people with thinks that there is nothing better than natural fur. For them more important is theirself lucky, than suffering animals. They think that wearing fur is natural and they have been wearing it for thousands of years and they won’t stop. But in my opinion by all this years a lot of animals died and it’s wrong! We should stop it!
To sum it up I think that it’s wrong to kill animals for their fur. Wearing expensive coat of natural fur isn’t the most important. We’re not alone in this world. We should protect animals. We shouldn’t kill them for our satisfaction! Killing animals is unnecessary because we can replace their fur on other, sometimes better materials made by people.

Working from home.
Nowadays there are more and more people who can work from home.
The greatest advantage of working from home is the possibility of planning your time to suit yourself. Flexible hours give you a chance to adjust to your family engagements. There is no problem of you taking a leave too. Furthermore, it is less stressful than the traditional form of work. You have not got a furious boss above your head and jealous colleagues nearby. This will clearly help your mental health. In addition, there is no need to travel to the workplace every day. Avoiding this contributes to saving both time and money. This additional time can be spent with family or in any way you wish.
Nevertheless, this situation has also some disadvantages. To begin with, a person willing to work from home must be very conscientious and reliable. It is very hard to control oneself and this may decrease the potential number of home-workers. This may be a decisive thing, because if you cannot focus on work you might also fail to the deadlines, what cause a danger of dismissal. Moreover, staying at home limits the opportunity to meet new people. Therefore, you may not get promoted, if ever, like in an ordinary job.

Not dangerous accident
The sun was shining it was warm and sunny day. In the morning I decided to take may dog for a long walk.While I was walking along the street I saw a child riding on his bike. I was a little bit surprised because I couldn’t see anyone that would take care of the boy. All of a sudden when a child was trying to cross the street a car appeared out of nowhere. The boy fell down out of his bike, he burst into tears when he saw blood which was dropping from his elbows and knees. I came to him and tried to keep him calm . Fortunatelly, it was not a serious accident. I took the child to his house and explained everything to his parents. The boy had bruised elbows and knees. As you can see this story has a happy ending.

There are very many reasons why people emigrate from their home countries.
If we disregard political aspects of persecution by some regimes the 3 most often quoted reasons are: economic, social and environmental arguments. Many people emigrate in order to find a job or better payment. They want to avoid excessive taxation which is usually the case of celebrities. The poor or those made redundant secure basic needs. The celebrities like Sophia Loren try to be even richer. All of them look forward to better life opportunities of their children. Some people leave their countries to improve their social conditions. They r often in need of better health service, educational opportunities or developed shop chains. For some people the social factors r often more important then money, political ideas or other ambitions.Those who appreciate clean environment and the beauty of nature may emigrate because they want to find less polluted area where the wild life prevails. They may also prefer better climate or seasonal weather. For example some skiers may like living in the Alps or the Rocky Mountains.
As one can see people may leave their homeland in search of new, better life for many reasons. The mentioned above may be quite popular but particular cases the reasons might be very unique and individual.

my grandfather
My grandfather? He’s name is Stanisław. He is the wrong sides of eighty but he doesn’t look his age. He is a retired trader, but he served in an army for a long time. Grandpa likes to do the crosswords and eats greasy dishes.
He is a tall, skinny man with short straight silver hair and going thin on top. He has fair complexion and brown eyes. He has big nose and ears. Grandpa is very fit for his age.
Grandpa likes to be independent so he often argues with his wife. He is reliable, when he promises something he always does it. Grandpa is also very kind and sociable. When he meets neighbors he always has a chat with them. He is generous. He always gives me money.
I like my grandpa very much. He is a cheerful person who always smile. He is the kind of person who you can always depend on.

Being a child of famous parents.
Some people argue that being a child of famous parents is a curse for the child. However, others claim that a famous name help children to achive success.
What is true is that children of famous parents have a completely different way of looking at life and a totally different lifestyle from those who are not. This child can go to a prestigious school. When the child is older, it is easier to start adult life. Famous children can travel all over the world with parents. stars like going on holiday to exotic countries. They have money. From the beginning of their life they have everything the best. They have everything they dream about.
On the other hand, it is undoubtedly true that being a child of famous parents has disadvantages. The main and themost appalling fact is loneliness. When a singer goes on tour, his child must stay at home with a nanny. The child spends almost all the time with protectors who try to be like his mother and father for him. Nevertheless, the lack of privacy is very inconvenient. Many times famous children lose their childhood. Last but not least, the child of famous parents must be very circumspect. It is difficult to find a true friend.

My free time
After a long and tiring day at work I like to spend my free time in such away that I feel relaxed. The kinds of activity I choose depend upon the time of the year. When it is sunny and warm I go out. When it is cold, rainy and dull - I stay at home. In the summer I like to go to the forest, where the air is fresh, but sometimes I ride a bike round the city to see if something interesting is going on. Usually the bicycle trips take me about an hour. Also, if it is warm I use my bicycle when I go shopping or go to visit some of my friends. As we always have something interesting to talk about, we never get bored with each other. My friends and I often go for walks and it does not matter if it rains or the sun shines. Going for long walks and cycling are favourite outdoor activities of mine. Late in the evening I like to read books or magazines: Reading takes most of my spare time during the long winter nights. I do not spend much time in front of the TV screen. I am also interested in films and the theatre. I do not have any manual skills, so I neither draw nor paint. It seems that I am quite a busy person. I am, indeed. But sometimes, after a busy day the best way of spending my free time is just lying in bed, doing nothing.

Endangered species
Giant pandas live in humid, mountain bamboo forests and mixed forests of west part of the Sichuan province in China.
Giant pandas are black and white. Their fur is saturated with sebaceous secretions, which protected them against the rain and snow. Young pandas are red and brown, when they are 50 days, their fur is black and white. Adults measure around 1.5 m long and around 75 cm tall at the shoulder.
Pandas lead an alone life. They are the most active in the morning and in the evening. Each adult has a defined territory and females are not tolerant of other females in their range. Pandas communicate through vocalization and scent marking such as clawing trees or spraying urine. Despite its taxonomic classification as a carnivore, the Giant Panda has a diet that is primarily herbivorous, which consists almost exclusively of bamboo.
One of main causes of dying out of pandas is man’s activity. In ancient era people found panda’s fur as very valuable. In these days people destroy the habitat of pandas by cutting forest to gain more farmlands. It disturbs the migration and reproduction of pandas. The big problem in modern world is also hunting.

Unconventional medicine
It is generally believed, that unconventional medicine is one of the best ways to gain perfect health. Our grandmothers and great grandmothers have prepared medicaments at home for ages and in their opinion, they are much more efficient and safe. Unconventional medicine is domestic way to prove better health. Medicaments aren't harmful and don't disturb work of our body. Moreover, it's not as expensive as antibiotics in pharmacy and don't pose health risk. We know what it consists of, and what's more, we aren't prone to addictions. Sometimes it could appear, that illnesses are being cured by acupuncture or aromatherapy.
On the other hand, medicaments from pharmacy are prescribed by the doctor and are more likely to treat illnesses, especially terminal illnesses, which could be cured by unconventional medicine with no efficiency. Oilments from natural herbs could pose a rush or other serious risk.
Summarising, either unconventional or traditional medicine are one of the wide range of treatment nowadays. Everyone knows what is better for them and can choose the best way of treatment.

The differences between my brothers.
Everyone has one but no two people personalities are the same. I will compare my two brothers’ personalities. The three differences between my brothers are: school performance, social life and personal living habits.
Nick, the older one, was one of the top students in class. By studying hard and doing his homework home for couple of hours daily, he was always prepared for classes and he usually got the best scores on the tests. On the other hand, Peter, the younger one, is less willing to put an effort into his studying. He dislikes doing his homework because it gives him hard time. Sometimes Peter doesn’t do his homework and it reflects on his exam grades, which are not satisfactory.
My older brother prefer to stay at home, invite some friends and have a good time in front of TV watching soccer game or just reading a good book. While, Peter is very sociable having a lot of friends everywhere. Often it is hard to catch Peter present at home because when he has free time; he usually is outside hanging out with his friends.

Television
Television is a rich and attractive source of information for many people. This is a very popular form of entertainment. More and more people spend their free time watching their favourite programs or just flipping through the channels.
A typical person spends about four hours daily in front of a TV set. Television is a “time thief”, which can cause addiction and make us plan our life according to the TV programme schedule. Many people don’t see its negative influence on their life. For children, television has become a normal thing, which accompanies them since they are born. Sometimes parents don’t have time to play with a child, so they just turn on the television. They think that it is the best solution. It is a big problem when children watch TV too often, because this “entertainment” deprives them of playing with their peers, and reading books becomes unnecessary. Children are mainly exposed to silly cartoons or violent detective stories. Some of the scenes may cause fear or sleep disorders with more sensitive kids. Television is like a drug. We must be careful when we choose a film or a programme. People should spend their free time in a more interesting way .

Being single
Being single is becoming more popular and it is the easiest way to accomplish our life goals.There are both advantages and disadvantages connected with it. One major benefit of single life is independence. We do not need to be accountable to somebody's actions. What is more, it frees from annoying the partner's habits. Education is a key factor for the job growth and the single status gives the opportunity to focus on, improve ourselves in order to meet career goals. Finally, it gives freedom to flirt with whomever you want, as well as, to have friends with benefits.
However, there are disadvantages of being single. Interaction with others is the necessary and important factor of the mankind. Furthermore, being alone will surface while struggling with problems, suffering from an illness or having nobody to share secrets with. In addition, it can have negative effects on finances. Having two household incomes is much better than struggling oneself.
To conclude, when we make plans connected with the relationship status, it is important to consider the drawbacks of being with a partner. In my opinion, benefits such as freedom, time for ourselves and sole control over decisions balance out the negative ones.
However, there are disadvantages of being single. Interaction with others is the necessary and important factor of the mankind. Furthermore, being alone will surface while struggling with problems, suffering from an illness or having nobody to share secrets with. In addition, it can have negative effects on finances. No tv for children
Recent AAP's statistics show that the average child watches about four hours of television a day while 20% of them have TV in their rooms. Early childhood is the period for brain development. I strongly believe that watching TV should be forbidden for children under 5.
Firstly, a child's brain is very sensitive at the age of 2 and is still developing and growing. Due to that, it is important for babies to have a lot of interactive activities, which cannot be provided by TV. Without conversation they might have problems to improve their language and vocabulary.
Furthermore, more and more children prefer television to other forms of entertainment and they spend hours watching it without changing their position. In addition to that, children can watch films full of violence or pornography, which make them less sensitive.

Mobile phones are considered by many as an essential part of modern life and they are becoming more and more common among students in high schools and even in grade once. Due to many factors and parents' fears many schools are prompted to ban usage of cell phones. Solving the problem this way is connected with many benefits and drawbacks.
Firstly, phones can be considered as an extremely serious distraction for students. The wide variety of applications makes playing mobile games, chatting, browsing websites and listening to music available during the classes. Cheating during exams by exchanging messages without the teacher knowing is possible. In addition, phone ringing and vibrating might disturb the lesson.
On the other hand, mobile phones can serve as a connection between students and their parents as it is sometimes the only way to be in touch round the clock. What is more, they might be an invaluable tool in emergency, prompt situations. My first day in my first job
I will never forget that day when I had my first job interview. It was small but renowned company, which I had heard some various, good and bad opinions about. I had been recommended by my close friend Mark from high school, so I couldn't let him down. I had been preparing myself for this interview for a couple of days, so I was sure that nothing could surprise me.
Unfortunately, the day before one of my best friends nad organised a birthday party. I couldn't refuse. The party had appeared a very nice one, we had drunk a little bit too much and I had gone to bed quite late.On the next day, I had to wake up early, at 6 o'clock. It was still dark outside, I hate winters. I dressed up and maked up. When I was walking to the bus station I realised that I had forgotten papers, so I had to go back for them.
Finally, I reached a company. I was confused because when I was walking through the corridor, everybody was looking at me with a smile on their mouth. However, I was too sleepy to care about it. It appeared that I had put on a blouse inside out!
It all ended well and I got this job.
Unfortunately, the day before one of my best friends nad organised a birthday party. I couldn't refuse. The party had appeared a very nice one, we had drunk a little bit too much and I had gone to bed quite late.On the next day, I had to wake up early, at 6 o'clock. zoo
I will give my opinion on zoos topic. I think that this point has got two sides. So, are animals happy in zoos? In my mind, they could be, but it depends on different elements. I mean, if for example animal is hurt, sick or it has some mutation, physical defect, being in zoo will be better for that creature than being in natural area, because zoos usually assert medical protection and it is possible that at large this weaker organisms could not survive. The same thing is if animal was born and it is accustomed to zoo. Other situation is if animal is in good health, is also strong and happy in his natural environment. I think in zoo it could feel some encirclement, space necessity and hankering for home and family. It could be just unhappy, even if zoo will give him really good condictions.

Animals at home
The first domesticated animal was a dog, which have been accompanying people for ages. Dogs are friendly and very helpful. They are irreplaceable in every household where they can guard the property or other farm animals. Their role is invaluable in guiding blind people. Children love dogs and enjoy cuddling them. The other home pat is a cat. Cats also can be very helpful in household. They remove rodents. It is said that cats can heal many diseases such as rheumatism. Beside dogs and cats, there are other home pet such as hamsters, parrots, canaries, fish and guinea pigs. There are people who are interested in raising exotic animals like: snakes, crocodiles, various insects, spiders, etc. Sometimes it can be very dangerous and a lot of patience is needed.
For lonely people home pets can be the solution to loneliness and depression. Every pet, even the smallest one, needs a lot of care. The suitable conditions should be also fulfilled if you want to raise a pet at your home. Your pet should be fed with the proper food and have its own place to live and sleep.

school or work
Many students decide to take up a job before even leaving school. Working and studying at the same time has Working and studying at the same time has its pros and cons. Firstly, every student could use some extra money. For instance, they might pay their school fees so as to help their parents . Working as a teenager allows you to gain experience which may turn out useful in the future. After the graduation, with some qualifications in CV, one may find it easier to find a job. Additionally, working can benefit in forming students? personalities. In order to be good employees, teens need to grow up and become responsible.
However, working while going to school also has some drawbacks. To begin with, job is time-consuming. As a result, students have less time to study and they miss out on their education. Working at young age is not suited for everyone. Some children are just not prepared to grow up and become accountable enough yet. Lastly, when it comes to money, not always are the teenagers sensible.

Travelling
There are many ways of spending free time. One of them is travelling.
First advantage of travelling is visiting interesting places and meeting new people. It is connected with getting to know other cultures and traditions which is surely valuable. Secondly, it is usually said that journeys educate, so whilst travelling as well as exploration we can make our knowledge wider. Also we become more experienced and ready to cope with surrounding world if we learn something while being in journey. Journeys give to people a little fun and also make dreams come true.
On the other hand, journeys has some crucial disadvantages. Firstly, costs of travelling are often quiet high for example travelling by plane, so naturally not everyone can afford. Travelling can lead to fall ill and maybe then to expensive treatment or in case of fatal accident like for instance car and aerial one to death of many people. How to protect our environment?
Almost every day we can hear abouth the problem affecting the environment - and that's a list of problems - pollution, acid rain, global warming, the destruction of rainforests, the decline and extinction thousands of species of animals and plants.
Every one of us can do something to help slow down and reverse some of the damage.
We can protect our natural environment by simple ways:
- by decreasing the use of products made of wood (paper, furniture). This may result in decrease of the deforestation process,
- by using protective filters in our chimneys. In this way the air will be less polluted.
- by increasing green areas and parks by planting trees and plants.
- use less energy by switching off lights when rooms are not in use and not wasting hot water.
However, there are a lot of other ways to protect our environment. We should pay more attention on our environment and try to take more care about it.

wedding of my brother
On 15th September I was at a wedding. It was an unforgettable day, because my brother got married in the sanctuary of “the Holy Cross” in Jelenia Góra.
It wasn’t easy to prepare the wedding and the time flew very fast. Almost a year before the ceremony the exact date had to be chosen and booked. A list of guests was to be done, invitations sent, wedding rings bought, place for the reception reserved and decorated. My mum undertook the hard task. We laughed because she was better than decorative company.
At 5 pm my brother with his fiancee drove to the church by car which was wonderfully decorated. I had to admit my sister-in-law looked beautiful. Her dress was unearthly. During a mass they exchanged the vows. While they were putting on the wedding rings, my brother’s fell down. According to a superstition I had to pick it up. From this moment they were announced “husband and wife”. After greetings, there was a reception which everyone enjoyed and during which everybody danced till dawn. As it comes to food, it was delicious. You should have seen the wedding cake. It was coated with marzipan mass and looked brilliant. Moreover, the band was able to encourage the guests to dance with them.

First four minutes of contact
It is generally believed that the first four minutes of contact decide about whether two people will become friends and will like each other or not.
The recent researches show that first impression is misleading and almost 80% of people admit that they made a mistakes. First impression, first meeting is something like a sample of our pesonality and decide what we think about each other when we're looking at somebody's clothes, apperance or even flat. Sometimes it's that when we see dirty, not well-maintained house we start ti think negative about this person – it's a distracted, lazy, unreliable person. We pass away without any chance to know better each other and we lost a perfect opportunity to meet one very inteligent or reasonable.
It's impossible to judje somebody by the only first impression, for example, when somebody is angry annoying or impolite and have a bad day. After that we have negative opinion about this person and we don't want to be in a acquaintance.

This style is very popular with teenagers. Most of them have long hair. Moreover they dressed in dark, mostly black clothes. They have a lot of special jewellery such as metal spikes or some chain. They don’t dress fashionably, so they wear very comfortable clothes. They always have their own opinion. It is difficult to persuade them to something. People like this have very dynamic and full of energy life. They takes things lightly. They are very musical. Most of them can play a musical instrument such as percussion, electric guitar. They like the strong sound. In the spare time they go to concerts and have fun until dawn.

Fast foods
Nowadays the young people's attitude to fast food has completely changed. Previously it was considered to be very good and trendy. However, today youths are more sceptic and try to reduce the amount of such kind of food eaten every day.
Firstly, all fast foods are extremely easy to get or prepare at home. You don't even have to know how to cook because most of them are self-made. Secondly, you don't waste your time on preparing meals and washing up which seems to be very important for modern students.On the other hand, large amounts of additives 'hidden' in fast food can have a bad influence on your health. Especially your immune system may work not normally because of lacks of necessary vitamins. What's more eating fast foods means being in danger of becoming fat so many teenagers choose different type of food to safe their good-looking figure. Finally, eating fast foods may be the main factor of digestion problems.
As I see it now everyone should try to gain a golden means. You should just remember that our body always needs a balanced diet. It is necessary if you want to look good and keep fit.

Do you have a brother or sister? Are you an only child?
One of the main disadvantages of having a brother or sister is that your childhood is very lonely as you don’t have anyone to play with. Moreover, your parents pay you more attention and you might be “ limited “ by them in some ways. In adition to this you might be too self-confident.
However, there are also advantages of being an only child. First you have your own room and you don’t have to share anything with someone else. Besides you have more money – for example bigger pocket money and also it’s easier to convince your parents to buy you something or to do something you want to. Furthemore, you have everything new – you don’t get things, especially clothes, from your older sisters or brothers.

Vacation
Vacation is the greatest time of the year. My best vacation I'd like to spend in Africa. I would go to this beautiful continent by plane. The landscape is diverse with mountains, deserts, lowlands, and fertile farming areas where corn and a number of fruit grow. In Africa I'd visit many interesting places, for instance Nile River, Lake Victoria, and Table Mountain. I'd like to see wild life animals such as : lions, rhinoceros, elephants, crocodiles, et cetera and photograph all of them. I'd be living in a shed. I'd get to know people's moral and life. I think that they are very interesting, cheerful and unusual. Africa offers miles of beaches which are great to play water sports. Swimming in ocean is my dream, for I've never done it so far. Vacation in Africa could be really great. I think I could spend the most fascinating time of my life there. I hope it will happen soon.
