Interesting place of Poland

Rzeszów is a provincial capital and the largest urban center in the south – eastern part of Poland. It has a population of 155 thousand and plays the role of an important local economic cultural and scientific center. There are three rivers running through the town. Their names are the Vislok, the Mikośka, and the Przyrwa. Rzeszów is situated at the junction of important road and rail transport routes, including the E4 international motorway. The climate is hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. In the autumn it rains a lot. People usually work in shops and in factories. Rzeszów has some factories and industrial enterprises. The major among them are: Aircraft Equipment Factory WSK-PZL, Zelmer - a manufacturer of house equipment, Alima-Gerber, a producer of baby food and fruit and vegetable products, Conres – clothing producer. Rzeszów is an important academic center with it’s two local universities and several branches of universities with headquarters in other cities. There are some shopping molls here. The most popular are Europa II and Ameryka. Equally interesting for a visitor are the historical sacral buildings, parish church, Renaissance Bernardine church the cathedral visited by the Pape in 1991 and an elegant palace the Lubomirski’s summer residence. Rzeszów has some hotels. The biggest and the best is the Rzeszów Hotel with a casino and a restaurant. Near the town in Jasionka Village there is an airport. Everyday one plane goes to Warsaw. The most popular sport in Rzeszów is speedway. A lot of people go to the Stal Sport Center to enjoy it.
