Schools do not prepare teenagers to real life. Young people are not aware of a lot of problems, which can be experienced in their future. As a result, they learn only plenty of schematic terms. Moreover, outside schools, in students’ closest surroundings, there are great sources of information about life. Thanks to people, who have experience, young people can gain some useful clues, which tell them how to survive in the society. Furthermore, schools often make students confused in values. There happen situations, in which they lie or cheat, because that way is easier. Consequently, they do not know which values are really important in life.
On the other hand, schools teach teenagers things, which are necessary to find a well-paid job. If students did not attend schools and learn there, they would not be educated and they would not provide a support for their families. Without that it would be a hard task.
On balance, I am convinced that real education takes place outside schools. It does not consist only in memorizing texts and terms. Young people do not learn how to be good adult at classrooms, but they gain this knowledge from their closest members of family, friends and authorities.
