Bom Marley
Bob Marley is one of the greatest stars in the world of music. He was born in
Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, in 1945. His mother named him Robert Nesta
Marley but he was always known as Bob Marley.
The boy grew up with his mother in a very poor area of Kingston called Trenchtown. Life there was very hard. He began to sing and play the guitar, and when he was only nineteen he made his first record. A year later he formed a trio with two friends, Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingstone. They called themselves “The Wailers”. Their song, composed by Bob Marley, and sung and played by the three men, were about life in Trenchtown.
Bob Marley and the Wailers became very popular in Jamaica. His songs with their political message and strong rhythm made him a national hero. And this new reggae music was soon popular outside Jamaica too. In the 1970s, Bob Marley signed a music contract in Britain and after that he became famous all over the world. Everyone knew about the singer, guitarist and composer from Jamaica. Everyone recognised the Rasta man with his hair in dreadlocks. Everyone danced to his famous songs “No Women, No Cry” and “I Shot the Sheriff”.
In 1977 he contracted cancer in the foot. Four years later he died. He wasn’t forty years old yet. But his music live on.

Religion in Britain
The Church of England is the offical religion in England. Was established in the
16th century under Henry VIII by the Act of Supremacy (1534). Henry VIII made
the Church independent from Rome after the Pope refused to grant him a divorce
from first wife Catherine who did not give him a son. He himself became the Head
of the Church of England and since that time Catholicism has never been restored
to England again. Thus, England has become one of the most importaant Protestant
powers in Europe. The Roman Catholic system of government is etained with
archbishops, bishops etc. The senior clergy are appointed by the sovereing on
the recommendation of the Primes Minister, and the Archbishop of Canterbury is
the religious head of the Church of England. The followers of this religion are
called Anglicans. Apart from the Anglican church there are also Free Churches
in Britain. A good example is the
Church of Scotland. Ulike the Church of England, it is free to control its own
eligious matters and all its members have equal status. The church is locally
governed by the so called Kirk Session. The prevalent religion in Ireland used to be Catholicism.
Howeve, since the English gained control of Northern Ireland, the Protestants
have become a real power. Nowadays there are still conflicts between Catholics
and Protestants in Northern Ireland. In the peiod of violence more than 3000 people have died. Terrorist violence is mainly caused
by the Catholic Irish Republican Army and Ulster Volunteer
Force. Althought the official religion in Britain is Christianity, there are
also other growing religions in the United Kindom, among othes Islam, Hinduism,
Sikhism or Judaism. In contrast to Christianis who rarely go to church, Muslims,
Hindus, Sikhs and Jews are more likely to pactise their religion.

My concept of successful life
Life that we live is the most important gift we have ever received. It is vital
to spend it in harmony with our conscience and people we share our life with.
Everyone has his own concept of life and aims he tries to
reach.
Nowadays, not only does the social position or degree of education indicate the range of success life. These days money is a crucial factor that determines the success. So it is rather obvious that most of young people associate their concept for life with money.
This topic forced me to think of my concept for successful living. I have to admit it was the first time I considered my very future life. At my age the image of real life is rather faint. We have no opportunities to try it out. Everything we know is just what we hear from parents or see around.
Personally I adopted some general aims. These are studies, work and family. I am aware of the fact that my future plans are not original, but for me are a base on which I will try to settle my life. I expect my degree to give me a well-paid, satisfying and interesting job, but I would like to emphasize that money isn't all I'm looking forward. In my opinion the most essential part of human's life is family. It should be a springboard from ordinary and common problems and complications. I hope I would find support and understanding in my family.
Summing up, I'd like to say that present has come up with very harmful fashion that people try to find their happiness in earning as much money as they only can. I believe that my future life will not be a race for higher salary and hope to find lucky future.

Differences between Poland and Scotland
Many countries differ in a lot of details. We can focus our attention on such
differences like holidays, types of food, relationships in family, political
system etc. In case of Poland and Scotland we have also differences and it is
what I am going to present.
Firstly, major difference is political system. In our country we have multi-parties parlamental system. In Great Britain only two parties exist. Heads of countries are the second difference. In Poland it is president, in Scotland – queen. It is connected with type of country. Poland is a republic and Scotland – a parlamental monarchy.
Now I am going to write about Easter and Easter Monday. In Scotland in this day tradition of waffle water on girls does not exist. In Poland it is truly popular and well-known for a really long time.
In my opinion, what is the most noticeable in Scotland are kilts. This part of traditional Scotish uniform distinguishes Scots from other men in Europe – also in Poland. Sometimes it can look funny, but I think it is a beautiful tradition.
To sum up, I would like to emphasize that Scotland and Poland are different countries on much levels. Despite the fact, that our culture and habits are sometimes totally different, we are all Europeans and we have a lot in common.

Cracow - city in Poland
Cracow is a beautiful town in Poland, a city wrapped in legend
where every moment becomes a moment of history. Cracow is situating on the south
of Poland, near Wisla River.
If you are visited this city in the spring or summer, the weather will be sunny, so you will need to bring light clothes, sunglasses and hat. If you come in winter, you should bring worm clothes and umbrella. At this time of year it can get very windy and rainy.
There are plenty of places to stay in Cracow, such as hotels. If you are travelling on a small budget, it is best to stay at youth hostel - is cheaper.
There is a lot to see in Cracow. For example, there are the Royal Castle at Wawel and the gothic St Mary's Basilica. During the day you should see Museums and Sukiennice. In the evening, you ought to go to pub or caffee. In the special atmosphere of the beautiful and mysterious streets of the Old Town and Kazimierz you will find everything you need to allow you to escape from everyday life.
If you want to buy a typical sourvenirs, it is best to sourvenirs shops or special galleries.

Parents vs.Children
I think that the problem of quarrels between parents and children has been
existing since the begining of human kind. This problem is known to everybody.
Quarreling between parents and children is so frequent because there is a huge
diference of age between them and because they have different opinions about
most of the things. Parents can not permit their children for everything that
they want to do because they are afraid that we just can not do many things and
we will do ourselves harm. And children can not understand the parents' point of
view, and we quarrel. I also think that we would quarrel much less if we tried
to understand our parents. We can really live without the quarrels with our
parents. I think that our life would be much more comfortable then.

What do you prefer more- television or cinema?
Generally I don’t like watching television because I’m rather an active
person but there are times when I like lying on the sofa and watching TV. I like
watching comedies and action films especially. My favorite comedy serial is “Married... with Children.” which is
one the funniest program I’ve ever seen. I watch it as often as I can.
Nevertheless, above all, I prefer going out with my friends to watching
television. I often go to the multi cinema in Kosciuszko square in Gdynia where
I can watch films on the big screen and listen to truly outstanding sound
effects. I saw my first film in this cinema in September, one week after it was
officially opened. The film that I went to see was “Gladiator” and it was shown
in the biggest room called “panorama”. There is a semi-circular screen and Dolby
surround sound system. I think that “Gladiator” was one of the best films I have
ever seen and for this reason I have seen it four times already. I think that
the soundtrack from this movie is also exceptionally good and I would recommend
it to everyone. Generally I am not fond of sitting at home so I prefer going to
the cinema.

Cars in cities. Do we really need them?
All over the world people use cars. They are comfortable and fast. Almost no one
can imagine life without them. But sometimes people forget that cars are very
dangerous for the environment.
We use cars everyday: when we ride to work, school or shop. Sometimes we use them too often. Why we don't use bicycle instead car? Bicycle is cheaper and it's less harmful for environment. Moreover bicycle is so much better for our healthy than car.
However old people can't use bikes. In this situation car is irreplaceable.
In my opinion people should use cars only for a long trip. When people want move on in town should use bikes or buses.
To conclude, cars aren't need all the time, but sometimes are irreplaceable. In my opinion people should use cars only for long trip. When people want move on in town should use bikes or buses.
Personally, I prefer bike than car because it's funnier and healthier.

Reporting
On January 27th, 1926, a group of scientists met in a laboratory in London to
watch TV. The television was made of all kinds of things,
including an old box, knitting needles, a bicycle lamp and a cake tin! It was
invented by a Scottish man called John Logie Baird, and the transmitted pictures
of a 16 year old boy. Baird asked the boy to move his speak. and the audience
saw the pictures in another room. It was difficult to see the boy's face
clearly, but it was the wold's first TV transmission!
The BBS began the first public TV broadcasting service from London in 1936- in black and white, because they couldn't broadcast in colour yet. The first colour TVs were produced in the USA in the 1950s.
The first video recorder were also produced in the USA, in 1959. But John Logie Baird actually made the first video recordings in 1927! He recorded pictures of people but he didn't have enough equipment to play back his recordings. Now people have seenBaird's recordings and one viewer said they were incredible, like ghosts out of the air!
Milions of people now have colour TVs and video recorders- all thinks to the Scottish inventor, John Logie Baird!

Poems
Beautiful eyes, beautiful face,
I'm shy to talk to you.
You're the eagle I must watch
No matter what I do.
You're the beauty, wild and free,
The mistress of my eyes,
Rolling through exultant air,
Alone in pristine skies.
I would take you for my own
Could I but have your wings,
Could I but go where night begins
And frozen sunlight sings.
Could I but have you for my love,
How might we fly together!
But I must watch you from below
And long for you forever.
But I must be the one below
And long for you forever.
I'm shy to talk to you.
You're the eagle I must watch
No matter what I do.
You're the beauty, wild and free,
The mistress of my eyes,
Rolling through exultant air,
Alone in pristine skies.

And frozen sunlight sings.

How might we fly together!
But I must watch you from below
And long for you forever.
But I must be the one below
And long for you forever.

What’s better, to send an e-mail or traditional letter?
Lately all over the world there's general tendency to communicate by e-mails
rather than traditional letters. But is it really better to receive brief,
laconic massages then beautifully written letter?
On the one hand e-mails are faster way to send urgent messages, especially if someone shares an important interest. We also don't have to worry about what to write because we could use ready- made template. Additionally while we have friend in the other country it's cheaper and faster to communicate by e-mails.
On the other hand if we want to send some ceremonial invitation we still use letters. And we always enjoy when we see of one's own hand written envelope. Consequently we find it very difficult to invent a nice letter.
To sum up, today e-mails are definitely more useful, easier to write and to send. In spite of it we spend more time on traditional letters they are still welcome and give a pleasure for addressee.

beautifull view
Not everyone had the opportunity to see something like that. View is
particularly stuck in my memory. I saw this place during his stay in the
mountains in winter. Landscape watched from the window of our holiday house. In
the foreground I saw a huge, beautiful coniferous forest covered and wrapped in
white fluff. I had the impression that the soft cap hanging from the branches
are warm and cozy. A little further on the horizon for the beautiful trees were
widely stretched to the mountains were covered with white snow, but it looks
very different to the raw, bare mountain tops. Near the right side of the
mountain stream I could admire, who swam a narrow streambed. In the depths of
the forest gave the old note, but a beautiful lodge made of oak. Often saw deer
at her door, which was zwichnięto paw. This ranger found her and bound. At the
tree near the forester's often a small squirrel that would sit terribly afraid
of everything. The sky above the forest looked beautifully: nieporyte was blue,
even the smallest cloud, cool color was blue. This sight made me extremely
impressed. I'd like to see this place in the spring, when snows melt and reveal
the mountain peaks and climbing plants.

My ideal partner
My ideal partner should be a combination of advantages from all boys I've ever
met. He
ought to be tall, suntanned and fit model with blond hair and blue eyes like a
man from the first page of women's magazine.
- I think that is enough if I think about his appearance. This is beauty external.
Besides look, when I just notice him I would concentrate on his qualities.
He should has style, grace and class and be well-behavioured that is above all: smart, brilliant, polite, reasonable, with passion and his own opinion about everything. He has to be neat and with strong character. My ideal partner can't believe in stereotypes and can't be nave. I like people, who are self-confident. In my life I need someone, who can give me support and who can accept me as who I am. I think he should be firm because I like it. I love conversations, and perfect man must like talking with me about everything even though topics of our conversations could be unpleasant or difficult .
I think we should be interested in similar hobbies like for example: motorbikes, speed, big emotions and risk. He must have good sense of humour like me, that means black and original.
Long time ago I dreamt about man, who will be representative and exactly the one I want.
Today I'm happy, because I found my husband sixteen years ago and I can enjoying life with him. Thanks to him, I see that man can be perfect even if he has some disadvantages, which are not too tiring and too difficult to accept for me.

When I was fourteen I get a little cat. My parents give him to me on my
birthday. I was very happy, because I always want a little cat like Maurycy. I
didn’t know what name I can give for him, until my friend says: Do you already
have name for him? Like Maurycy or something? Well, “Maurycy” must catched on.
He is three years old, but I have him about two years and a half.
Maurycy is a mongrel. He is all grey with black stripes, he looks thin, but he like eating very much. He have big, green eyes, which are shine in light. Everybody, who’s looking in his eyes tell me that shiver went down his spine. It is true.
He’s favorite dish is Whiskas. He is very sociable to. He always cringes to everybody, who meets – he isn’t fearful to person, which he is meeting first time.
He likes going for a walk, he is very agile. He likes jump, roll, and run. His favorite activity is playing his small, red ball. He loves it.
Maurycy have very good hearing, like every cat. When someone come in to our house and Maurycy hear sound of put key into the keyhole, he is rush to doors.
When my friends visiting me, everybody have to pay attention to Maurycy. If my friends ignore him, Maurycy are very naughty. He likes to be the centre of attention.

Living alone has a lot of benefits
Many people are living alone. Some, because the want to,some, for they don`t have other alternative.Human was created to live in group.Sometimes when we are among people we feel bad,we crave few hours of silence. That`s the way we are made. From time to time we need to be in party and every once in a while we wish to stay alone with our thoughts. There are some advantages and disadvantages in both cases,so we can`t pick one,the right one.First of all when you live alone, you can do whatever you like, whenever you want.Nobody controls what do you do,when, with who etc.You can have a pet and it won`t disturb anyone.Cleaning? You can leave it.No obligation,no sharing with other.Don`t need to hide favourite chocolates from your flat-mates.You create your own style of living and that siut you.If you care, you watch tv,if not, listen to the radio-free choice. These benefits are obvious, but we have other, that come off from living alone. As a result of caring of your home you become more responsible and self-sufficient.Although you learn how to cook, pay bills. You kneed yoursef through picking out the gauntlets every second day.Your character get harden.
At the same time living alone is quite sad.If you are sociable person, you will have many problems with being lonley.Consequently you eat, sleep, watch tv alone. If you become sick, nobody helps you and buy drugs or go the shop in case you will need something. You don`t have any friendly face to company and even to chat with. When you need lend something eg.mascara or lipgloss, then you have to depend on yourself. That simple situations happen commonly,so if you have mate, you can always relay on her.We need somebody to live with. That`s why we get married and establish ourselves. We feel the necessity to live in a family. When we know, that we have support from our relations,we feel more confident, calm and happy.

Favourite book
When first and second books about Harry Potter were showed all the people were driving crazy. I was thinking that it was really exaggerated and silly. Firstly I was really adversary of Harry Potter mostly because I didn’t read it.
Then one of my friend lent me that book and when I read it I changed my mind. I steel consider that T-shirts, toys and another gadgets are exaggeration but I have no fault to find with books.
I like these books because they seem very realistic. Of course I don’t mean that the dragons and unicorns live in forests but I’m thinking of the problems which people in these books are wrestle with. However, not in meaning wrestling with power of evil in the form of Lord Voldemort but in meaning of ordinary humans problems.
Another cause, that I like these books is that all threads turn out significant, everything has hide meaning and everything is connected in certain moment.
These books are full of clues which are saying what and when will happen. That’s why there are many different, possible theory about what will happen in seventh part.
It will be too difficult to choose my favorite part but usually I read Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix and in spite of my favorite character – Syrius Black died in this book I read it about ten times and I know few fragments by heart.

Addictions are curses of our times
There’s a lots of addictions – alcohol, drugs, cigarettes and new inventions like computers, TV, cell phones etc.
At first, let’s think about our health. Alcohol and drugs can destroy our brain. We can’t normal think and we see things which don’t exist. That’s why people say after alcohol we see pink elephants. At first alcohol is killing our liver and brain and next it’s killing us. Death by drugs is even easier. Just one milligram more and you’re not there. Cigarettes aren’t so killing but it’s very dangerous too, especially when you’re smoking a lots of.. It’s poison for our lungs. What’s more – smoking is really disgusting and I have no idea why people do it. In every newspaper agent you can buy cigarette. Guests smoking in their landlord’s toilet. Non-smokers breathe whiffs in and poison their organism. Smokers smoking everywhere – in houses, in pubs, in restaurants, in parks… What’s about computers and television? Most of kids and teenagers are addicted to it. Why playground are deserted and quiet? Because children watch cartoons or killing people at computers. They sit in homes and eating crisps. Their parents are satisfied that they children don’t play up and don’t disturb them. But this kids will grow up and they won’t know real world. They won’t know what the can or cannot, what they must or mustn’t, what they should or shouldn’t. But that’s normal for our society too. Because kids have to know how to use computer, because what they will do when they won’t know how to use the Internet? Where they will find job without it? So let them sitting before the computer all days, that’s for their future. That’s vicious circle.
More technology means more inventions and more addictions.

The air and the water
The air and the water are very important to human. If not that, we couldn?t live. That is the reason that we should really take care of it. Unfortunately most people are not interested in this problem. But each of us can do something to help the environment. In my opinion there is many ways to do that.
First of all I save the water and when I brush my teeth-I turn off the water in the tap. I prefer to take a shower rather than bath because we even don?t know how much water we do waist taking bath. And at the same time when we lie comfortably in our baths using to that sweet water, people in Africa are dying because lack of water. For example Nomads have to dig holes in the soil to find sweet water and when they find it, it is really dirty and there is really not much of it to drink for the whole family.
We do have water in the tap. It is pure and we don?t have to worry that it is not enough. For the same reason that I feel responsible for water I wash the dishes in the sink to not pour the water unnecessarily.
Although there is really not much I feel that I can do something important. I truly believe that if all the people do only what I do, we could save sweet water and we wouldn?t be afraid that in a few years, as scientists says, we will run out of sweet water.

It happened a few weeks ago.
I was walking with my sister Mary along the street and we were talking. It was late, about 8 o'clock.Suddenly, we saw a starnge man who was climbing through the window to the nearest house. My first though was that it was a burglar and we called up the police. While I was waiting with my sister near the house,we were observing the man who had already gone inside the building. When the police arrived,I explained them everything once again. Then the policemen entered the house. After some while they appeared in front of me with huge smiles and with the stranger. They explained me thatit was owner of the house who had forgotten the key.I was shocked and embarrassed. My sister was confused and she was laughing at our reaction. Also the other men were smiling.I'll never forget that incident.

Winning a fortune doesn't always make people happy.
Most people think about money, as something which brings luck and happiness. The way to get a fortune are lotteries. They are popular in many countries. But is it really good thing to get a fortune and be millionare??
Money doesn t make people happy but it improves the quality of life. Firstly, if you get a lot of money, you can buy everythink what you dream about. You can make your dreams come true. Also money can help people who suffer from famine or incruable diseases. What's more it can save someone's life. I admire people who can give money away and they can still be openhearted and sympathetic.
On the other hand, getting a lot of money can cause greedness and stingness. People want to get money and nothing can stop them. They don t care about their family, friends. I think this is the reason, why they go abroad to work. Finally, money closes people's eyes to real world.

Has urban life got anything to offer?
The issues mentioned in the article which include excessive pollution, traffic congestion and rising crime rates, are main factors making life in the cities unbearable.
What a waste of time it is to stand in a traffic jam every morning and every afternoon. This is how most of commuters spend time going to and from work. The situation could be improved if new road systems were build. Some cities are simply wrong designed and very little can be made to improve the situation. Besides, such investments require huge sums of money which hardly any city can not afford.
A city can offer you a lot of entertainment, cinemas, theatres and education opportunities. Cities are centres of science, technology and political centres providing countless opportunities for clever people. Life in a city is simply much more interesting. In my opinion cities do still have many to offer.

I get my first computer when I was very young. Now computer is important part of my life. Earlier I often playd games and joined online chat groups, but now I haven`t time for this. I write letters and send e-mails, but I surf the Web not only for fun. Mostly I lern with my PC. I look information which I can use during my lessons and I do many school projects. When I have free time, I listen music or watch films, and I mustn`t have Hi-Fi or TV for this.

Cloning – danger or salvation?
Cloning is the process of producing genetically identical organisms. Scientists devised methods of cloning many plant and animal species. They try to clone a human being. It arouses a lot of interests, but also controversies.
To start Catholics think that it is unethical. Cloning seems to be messing with God’s powers. In most of countries researching of cloning people is banned. Secondly scientists have no idea of the long-term effects of genetic engineering. We do not know if it is worth taking a risk. We can not imagine what can be negative results in the future. Moreover if cloning people was possible, clones would probably suffer from genetic illnesses. So in medical aspect it should be banned, because the most important rule in medicine is "First, do no harm.".
Although cloning can be used to increase amount of endangered species. Animals which are critically endangered species from the fault of the man, like saiga would have a chance to survive. It could also give a possibility to recreate species that have become extinct, like dodo. In addition people with fatal diseases would get a new organ without long waiting for donor or risk of rejection. Furthermore cloning would be alternative to breeding. It would solve infertile couple’s problem or let ill person be parent.
Finally I think that it is hard to decide if cloning should be used or stopped. There are many more arguments for and against. Cloning brings us new perspectives, but we can not forget about risk.

Would you choose love or money?
Nowaday we need money to live calmly and without stress. I choose money because very important to me is education and if I want to have very good education I should go to the expensive university. That education affor me to find well payable work. We need ell payable work to be indepndent of our parents and family. When I have a baby I want to give it everything what is the best. Childrearing our child is very expensive in nowadays. If we want our chil in the future get good work we have to pay the university. We can't forget about little pleasure which we can have if we have a money. For example buying clothes or cosmetics, making-over house or going to beautician or hair-stailist.
On the other hand we know that love is important in our life. Everybody wants to have somebody who takes care of him and whom we will be trust. We need person whereon always we will rest. Somebody who loves us always help. After all I think tha money is more important maybe money isn't everything but really helps in life.

A visit to a place I will always remember
All over the world, there is one place which I want to visit and which I'll always rememmber.
This place is the most famous monuments in Britain- it is Stonehenge.
It is a group of enormous stones situated on Salisburg Plain in the south of England. It was built between 2000B.C. and 1400B.C and many of the original stones are still standing today.
There're two main circles of stones, one inside the other- In the centre, the stones are in a horseshoe shape around a central block. The whole monument issurrounded by a ditch.
Some of the stones weigh 50 tonnes. They were brought to the area from a distance of 30 km.
No one is sure why Stonehenge was built. Some people say it was used as a temple to worship the sun and that the block in the centre was an altar. But archeologists now think that it was an astronomical observatory to study the movements of the sun, moon and stars.
For me, it is a fantastic and incrediblemonument which I want to visit in the near future.

Museum's Cezanne stolen
While everyone in Britain celebrated the new millennium on January 1 2000, a Ł3 million painting by Paul Cezanne was stolen from the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
The painting - Auvers-sur-Oise - Depicts a cluster of small white cottages set in a tree-lined valley and dates from around 1880. Police believe the thieves broke in through the main gallery's glass roof while thousands of people were revelling on the streets outside. The thieves may have gained access from the adjoining libary, which was undergoing building work at the time, before clambering over rooftops to reach the museum itself.
The director of the Ashmolean described the theft as a 'shattering blow'. The Ashmolean is home to one of Britain's finest art collections, wchich includes works by Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, Van Gogh and Michelangelo. However, it is not the first time the Ashmolean, the world's oldest public museum, has been targeted by thieves. In 1997, two seventeenth-century French bottles were stolen from the museum. In 1992, security measures were stopped up after Greek vases, paintings, silverwere and a sixteenth-century painting were stolen by a visitor under his coat.

About me.
I'm usually happy and relaxed. I don't like feeling worried or stressed. I like playing football, volleyball and basketball. Every day I chat with my friends. I like going to the sports arena. Family and friends are important in my life. I like meeting my friends. Once a week we play football or go shopping. I'm interested in sports. My favourite sports are ski jumping, Formula 1 and football. My favourite ski jumpers are Thomas Morgenstern, Andreas Kofler, Manuel Fettner, Markus Eggenhofer and Arthur Pauli. I like F1 because it's very fast sport. Every Saturday I go fishing. My favourite colours are blue, balck, orange and green. I feel frightened when I see spiders. They're horrible! I have got three cats and rabbit. In the future I want to be an Austrian ski jumpers couch. It's one of my dreams. Second of them is going to all the ski jumping competition.

Wave
In the past I was a vacation on the island of Samoa in the Pacific Ocean. Was warm, beautiful weather. Along with my dad to sunbathe on the beach, while my mother sat with his brother at the hotel.
Suddenly, at sea, big wave came in August. I started to scream and flee into the city. Other people do the same. Fast wave flooded the beach. Destroyed buildings, local cafes, grabbed a mass of people.
We caught up together with my dad so the palms and rescue, but not all were so lucky. After this "incident" we were all shocked, because two days later we were in Poland.

Reggae
Reggae is a music genre developed in Jamaica. Reggae may be used in a broad sense to refer to most types of Jamaican music, including ska, rocksteady, dub, dancehall and ragga. The term may also be used to distinguish a particular style that originated in the late 1960s. Reggae is founded upon a rhythm style which is characterized by regular chops on the back beat, played by a rhythm guitarist and known as the "bang", and a bass drum often hitting on the third beat of each measure, known as "one drop." Characteristically, this beat is slower than in reggae's precursors, ska and rocksteady. Reggae is often associated with the Rastafarian movement, which influenced many prominent r m reggae musicians in the 1970s and 1980s. However, the subject matter of reggae songs deals with many subjects other than Rastafari, with love songs, sexual themes and broad social commentary being particularly well-r epresented.

School is the best preparation for our working life.
Every child must go to school. If he or she wants it or not they have to study and graduate at least secondary school. Why? Because in my opinion school is the best preparation for our working life.
To start with, it is very important to work and co-operate with other child, because when they grow up and start working in a company they will have to capture cooperate skills.
School professes children how to be open in relations with other people.
What is more, children are taught responsibility and tolerance towards others. In adults life everyone should be responsible for their deeds. Through tests, homeworks and many activities school gives children a sample of hardworking life.
As opposed to the above ideas some people think that school isn?t beneficial for all children, because it teaches them how to rival one another. In my opinion this skill is important, because nowadays we have to rival to get better marks, jobs, etc.
All in all, I strongly believe that school is very useful and that it?s giving the best preparation for working life.

Nessie- The Loch Ness monster.
The Loch Ness monster, Nessie is a famous legend which many people believe to be true. It was described in many ways. Some say it is like a snake and others say it is like a dragon. Mst of the stories say it is a very long animal. No one took a clear enough picture to tell what it looks like. Nessie lives in the town of Loch Ness. Loch means lake in Gealic. Loch Ness is 24 miles long and about mile wide. It is very hard to locate Nessie or even see. Some people belive that the monster was trapped when the loch was closed.
Many tourist go on boat to search for Nessie and buy some souvenir, gifts and take pictures of beautiful view.

Winter in Poland
No one was expecting that this year winter will be so annoying. Till mid January the temperature was pretty ok, not going below zero, no snow and everyone seems to be happy with this. Synoptics were predicting rapid decrease in temperature but when the thermometers showed 15 degrees below zero on January 15th everyone’s wish was to be warm again. Unfortunately, day after day was getting worse and worse, the temperature was dropping down. Near the end of January during the day we had twenty degrees below zero, at night in some locations bars indicated -35. As a result of this many schools were closed as it wasn’t possible to keep the constant air temperature in the classrooms. Number of people could not get to work on time as a result of frozen cars and number of issues with public communication. Even ski passes were closed which was worrying young people spending their winter holidays in ski resorts. Once the frosts began to fall whole Poland was covered by thick layer of snow and again the traffic in whole country was paralyzed. We had number of collisions each day and accidents due to very slippery roads. Luckily for all of us, the winter seems to be forgiven, meteorologists predict that spring is coming.

Shopping in London
London prices are not very hight and many people come to London just to go shopping. The most famous shopping street in London is Oxford Street in the West End. There are some big department stores there. You can buy almost anything you want in a big department store. The most famous department store in Oxford Street is Selfridges, but prices there are hight. If you have not got much money, you can do your shopping at Marks and Spencer's. They sell ready-to-wear clothes, but also food and some other things. There are two big Marks&Spancer's stores in Oxford Street and one of them is near Poland Street. Most Lonf=don shops are open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday. A few shops do not open on Saturday afternoons. There is one late shoopping night a week: in the West End of London it is Thursday and shops stay open until 7 p.m

Ciara "GOODIES"
Ciara is the princess of Crunk and this album proves taht she is indeed worth of wearing a crown. Her first album seemed to be her life time though her 19 years old, and she has meneged to get hook up with some of the biggest names in the American R'n'B and Hip Hop: R. Kelly, Ludacris and Missy Elliot. she is in fact yhe princess of U.S music industry and her almub consequently produced by some of the biggest beat makres: Jazzy Pha, Petey Pablo and of course the old legend Lil'John who is named the King of Crunk.
Many of tracks are about love, deep emotions for example "Pick up the phone", "Next to you - featuring R. Kelly" and " Other Chicks". The lyrics are very sweet, adoring and feminine.
It is very refreshing to hear this type of self-respected promoted by 19 years old Ciara.
She shows sly undertones of "Girl Power" on the album what make album very sexy. It is both clever and ironic considering how sexy her image is and how provocative the coplex beats are.
I can bodly recomend you her album "Goodies" beacuse of the fact that Ciara is the new "Princess of Hip Hop" and she certainly sets a fantastis example for modern young woman. The album is soulful. She shares her philosophies about - how to be independet, positive and cutie. It's a fres, crunchy and beautiful album.

The Secret Garden
“The Secret Garden” written by Frances Hodgson Burnett is truly a timeless and wonderful children's classic. The book tells the story of Mary Lennox, an orphan sent to her unknown uncle and Colin Craven, her sickly, spoiled cousin whose mother died giving birth to him. The story relates to the adventure in the secret garden which changes them into healthy and empathetic children.
The story is about Mary Lennox, an unwanted and isolated ten year-old girl living in India. As her parents are only concerned about parties and social life, the child becomes a spoiled and snobbish girl. When an epidemic of cholera kills her family, Mary is sent to her uncle's remote country house, who is almost completely withdrawn into himself after his wife’s death. In England, she lives at Misselthwaite where she must learn to be independent. Soon, Mary discovers a walled, secret garden that has been locked up for the last ten years after her aunt's death. The girl hears somebody crying and explores the whole house. Finally, she finds Colin, her spoiled and sick cousin who is isolated in his room. Mary, Colin and their new friend- Dicon enjoy each other’s company, they restore the secret garden, which helps them to regenerate themselves effectively.
”The Secret Garden” is an excellent novel of ideas and of the most original and brilliant children's books. The book is perfect for young readers because of the clear and simple language. The complex characters and the moving plot make it even more interesting .
It is worth reading as the book has its own magic and will boost the imagination of any child. What is more, the storyline becomes the sort of a metaphor for life- against the saying, even the leopard can change his spots.

My first teacher
My first teacher, at my primary school, was Mrs.Jones. I met her in September 1998. She was teaching in Primary School No 22. She has been my teacher for three years and she professed me all subjects. Next, in 4th class, she professed only biology.
She was in her thirties, she looked young. She wasn’t tall, she was medium height. She was slim, but she wasn’t too pretty. She had ginger hairs, she hadn’t got a fringe. Sometimes she wore a ponytail or a bun. Her eyes were big and green. She has long eyelashes and thin, arched eyebrows. She has small, straight nose and thin mouth. Her face was round. She looked nice.
She always wore jeans, top and jacked. Sometimes, but so rarely, she wore blouses or skirts. She didn’t like skirts and dresses. She had got boots on heels, she never wore sports shoes. Usually she had got gold jewellery. She liked long earrings.
She was nice and easy-going. She always had got good ideas – she imagined many plays for us. She always was in good mood, she was happy and relaxed. She was intelligent and interesting. She liked going with us to trips. But sometimes, when she had bad mood, she was so loud and aggressive. She was quick-tempered.

Real education takes place outside classrooms. Do you agree?
Schools do not prepare teenagers to real life. Young people are not aware of a lot of problems, which can be experienced in their future. As a result, they learn only plenty of schematic terms. Moreover, outside schools, in students’ closest surroundings, there are great sources of information about life. Thanks to people, who have experience, young people can gain some useful clues, which tell them how to survive in the society. Furthermore, schools often make students confused in values. There happen situations, in which they lie or cheat, because that way is easier. Consequently, they do not know which values are really important in life.
On the other hand, schools teach teenagers things, which are necessary to find a well-paid job. If students did not attend schools and learn there, they would not be educated and they would not provide a support for their families. Without that it would be a hard task.
On balance, I am convinced that real education takes place outside schools. It does not consist only in memorizing texts and terms. Young people do not learn how to be good adult at classrooms, but they gain this knowledge from their closest members of family, friends and authorities.
